I’ll be honest, sometimes I think the romance of Tiny Living gets me a little carried away from reality. I tend to do that. I get so excited about all the possibilities of the plan that I forget to come back down to earth and I completely ignore all the voices inside of me screaming “SLOW DOWN”.

Hi, my name is Katie, but my family calls me Kate. I'm a photographer by trade and a business woman by choice. I am also in a band that consists of my family. You may be wondering, "How does this fit in with a Tiny Lifestyle?" Well the answer is I've always lived in spaces less than 800 square feet and as I get older, the spaces keep getting smaller. It helps though that I'm 5' tall. This blog is going to document my life and those in it. Warning: I'm not the greatest writer of all time, but I am learning.
The First Demo Day!!
This post will mainly consist of photos. There’s truly not much advice to give about demolitions except: Be safe, work with a group, wear safety goggles, wear a mask if there’s mold, wear gloves, wear smart clothes, get a crowbar, and you must have a hammer. OH! And you need a killer playlist of tunes to listen to while you’re destroying everything in your path.
January: Emotional breakdowns & crying about the government.
Warning: This is a long post about something me and Jesus have been working through. It’s only purpose is to brag on Him and just how good of a Father He is.
Today’s post is about reality hitting you in the face.
Purging clutter, and learning to let go.
In the beginning, the struggle is real.
Earlier this summer I knew I wanted to for sure have a tiny house. I wanted it to be a permanent structure of 500 square feet, but since I don’t know where I want to land in life, I’ve decided to build a tiny home of 160-260 square feet. The problem? I had NO idea what kind of trailer I needed to look for. The second problem? I had no kind of money to put towards a trailer.
